Welcome to WPV-Ready!

WPV-Ready is a program that builds Ready Communities.

A Ready Community is one that has prepared for all the little things that could go wrong in an emergency. If you can manage the little things, you will do well during an emergency of any size.

We help you get through the basics, like having fire extinguishers and a first aid kit, and knowing how to get emergency information.

WPV-Ready makes all of that easy to organize. Let's get you started!

Register for Emergency Alerts
Register your contact information with SMC Alert: https://www.smcgov.org/dem/smc-alert. Download the Genasys Protect app (used to be Zonehaven) on your smart phone/device to receive evacuation notices and wildfire information in your neighborhood. Register each family member, and update it whenever contact information or addresses change. Learn more at this page: https://www.smcgov.org/dem/genasys-zonehaven.

If you are not already in an organized Ready Community, then YOU might be the person who can get the conversation started in your neighborhood. Contact us to find out more at the email or phone number below.

If you have not already registered on this website, please register now on our Registration page. Your registration will also get you onto the WPV-Ready announcements group at groups.io, WPV-Ready.groups.io.

Find Out How Prepared You Are
Use the home assessment tool on the Ready Assessment page to find out what small thing you can do next to become safer. You can also download the assessment PDF  now to get an idea of what we are working on.

Learn more on our First Aid Kit page, where you can download the kit contents and advice on keeping a first aid kit fresh, or just go to our store and buy yours today at WPV-Store.org. We will have evacuation Go-Bags available through the store soon as well.
