Official Wildfire Information
Embers cause 90% of home destruction during wildfires. They travel more than a mile ahead of the fire front, landing on combustible materials on and around your home. A home with defensible space and fire-resistant materials can survive a wildfire that destroys neighboring homes without those protections.

Create fire-resistant zones around your property. Harden your home against ember intrusion. Take advantage of free assessments, Chipper Days, and matching fund programs offered by the Woodside Fire Protection District.

Free Home Assessments from WFPD
The Woodside Fire Protection District offers free wildfire home assessments. A WFPD firefighter will visit your property and provide specific recommendations for defensible space and home hardening.
